The original recipe is from the Soup Chick—her method for cleaning leeks is brilliant. I’ve made several changes: no bacon because we don’t do pork, the addition of cooked chicken to make the soup more of a meal—we use leftover roast chicken, but you could use whatevah—red-skinned potatoes, but not new potatoes (it’s October!), milk [...]
