Being an Amazon Associate allows me to use book cover images and to earn a small percentage of sales if someone chooses to click through to a book from my site and then makes a purchase. Please do this if you would choose to buy the book from Amazon anyway; your support will help cover the cost of running this site. If you have a lovely independent neighborhood bookstore, by all means give them your support—it’s wonderful to have a real place where you can go talk about books with real people. My girls found advent calendars they liked on Amazon and one of our local bookstores had the same calendars for the same price. That said, I live in the wilds and am so grateful for Amazon, grateful that I can order used books from booksellers across the country and that I can get a book without always having to drive half an hour or forty minutes. What privileges we enjoy in this country, what richness and choice and plenty, even those of us of relatively humble means.
